The Smith family farm, nestled in central Pennsylvania, has been passed down through generations for over 200 years. With degrees from Penn State University in Animal Science, Business, and Agronomy, our current management team brings over 50 years of experience in grazing livestock across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and New York. We’ve had the privilege of working alongside renowned livestock handlers such as Bud Williams and Temple Grandin, refining our practices to ensure the highest standards of animal care.

Our commitment goes beyond farming—we are dedicated to preserving the local environment and fostering the development of our community. In 2024, the Smith family expanded its operations with SonSmith Solar, providing comprehensive vegetation management services to utility-scale solar operators. Utilizing a herd of over 600 sheep, we maintain healthy vegetation around solar panels, partnering closely with our clients to support reliable and sustainable energy production.
